Findemma.com originated with my second novel, The Year of Fog, which traces a woman’s search for six-year-old Emma, who disappeared from a San Francisco beach while in her care. Over the last couple of years, many readers have told me that, after seeing findemma.com mentioned in the book, they went to the web to see if it was an actual site. So I’ve decided to use this web address to bring attention to the plight of missing persons, with a special emphasis on missing children.
While The Year of Fog is merely a fictional account of a missing child, thousands of people go missing in the United States each year. Each story represents a devastated family. This site is dedicated to those families.
